Software Solutions
Our Software Solutions team is the analytical engine for the global energy transition, acting as the glue between our clients, developers, and other internal/external stakeholders to manage the software strategy, product operations, and overall customer success. Broken into three teams—Product, Data Science, and Customer Success—they work with clients to gauge users’ requirements and identify pain points in the user experience by providing demo, delivering advisory-style projects, and answering user/support questions about our software.
Entrepreneurial, optimistic, and inquisitive problem solvers who want to build seamlessly integrated cloud-based software, democratise energy analysis, and leverage the power of software and data to facilitate the global energy transition would fit in well. Describe your key responsibilities.
As part of team Origin, I focus on improving our power market modelling software and supporting internal and external clients in using it. Depending on the day, my responsibilities may include cross-team coordination, user interviews, gathering product requirements, automating internal processes, or aiding our clients in using the software. The support varies greatly from client to client, but I often help them analyse their market scenarios, provide additional data from the backend and create bespoke scenarios as base cases for their projects, and occasionally run onboarding workshops for new users.
What is the highlight of your role?
Every project brings new challenges and allows me to see our work from multiple points of view—from the practical needs of our clients all the way to the technical details of robust software development. Working as glue between the teams provides ample opportunities to understand the 'why' behind our solutions and collaborate with many wonderful teams across the whole company.
